2024 Summer High School Fitness Prep

Description

This is a non-competitive instructional / training preparation program for athletes age 13-18 who are interested in joining or have participated in high school swim or waterpolo that are looking for fitness and preparation opportunities. This is also a great program for less competitive swimmers just looking to maintain their fitness level during the summer!


The Pillars of Teaching for this program are:

Developing Technique

Training Speed & Endurance

Building Strength

Swimmers will be taught effective body position, efficient stroke technique, develop endurance. Swimmers will also be introduced to land-based strength exercises to help develop the required core/muscle development through our partnership with SwimStrong Dryland.


Pre-Requisite Skills

Swimmers must be comfortable in the water and able to perform a 50 Freestyle (Front crawl) and a 50 kick on their back

Practices/Wk

4 x per week

Mon - Thur 4:00 - 5:30 PM

Our High School Fitness Program will continue in Fall but this is our summer training session.


Cost

$400 for the full 8 week summer session + $35 USA Swimming Flex Membership


Attendance Requirement

2-4 Days / Week

100% weekly Attendance Strongly Encourage


Meet Requirements

None (non-competitive)


Gear Requirement

Swimmers will need to have a pair of training fins and snorkel.
